Our Clinical Neuropsychologist, Nicola Robertson (née Singleton), is originally from Jersey in the Channel Islands and moved to Australia in 2010. Nicola received her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from Flinders University before moving to Melbourne where she earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Neuropsychology. After completing her studies, she then returned to Adelaide.
Nicola has always loved working with children and throughout her studies she worked as a support worker for children with disabilities and/or a history of trauma. Nicola has worked in a variety of settings as a neuropsychologist. She assessed children and adults when working for a not-for-profit disability service, she was part of the Rehabilitation team at The Women’s and Children’s Hospital helping children recover after brain injury, and she provided psychoeducational assessments at the Department for Education.
Nicola is warm, friendly, and approachable. She takes the time to understand the concerns you have about your child. Nicola looks forward to helping you understand how your child thinks and learns and will think carefully to provide you with valuable recommendations that will help you plan the best support for your child.
In her spare time Nicola enjoys going on bush walks with her husband and dog, spending time at the beach (when its summer!) and kayaking, snorkelling and scuba diving. In the colder months she spends time reading, scrapbooking and playing board games.
